we are heavy reliant on satellites

We had plans to leave yesterday at noon.

We left at 4:30.

We arrived in Las Vegas at 11:30.

By the time we figured out where we were going, unloaded our car - found our room - got the kids dressed in their pajamas and put to bed it was 12:45. We are now getting the kids bathed, dressed, fed and then we're jetting off to somewhere in Utah.

Once I have some time, I will update more.

So far, we're having a great time. Even though 2/6 of our platoon are sick, we have no maps for the United States and no idea where we'll spend the night tonight ... or tomorrow night ... or the night after that or that ... we are feeling extremely adventurous and extremely thankful for cell phones and the GPS in our car.

  1. What DID people do before GPS? I seriously have no idea. Hope that you're all well soon - sounds like it's a great time so far!

  2. Hello Wandering Wanderers...

    You've got to be C-R-A-Z-Y!!!!

Hopefully you'll make it to Canada and then on to Boston safe and sound.

I've already received an invite to Bruh-sta from one of your sistas who will be there visiting your brutha. Hopefully the stars will align and all will be there togetha....perhaps even with my Godmutha fresh off the cruise ship. Regardless, I look forward to finding you someplace during your New England layover.

    God be with ya's...

  4. If you were REALLY crazy you could surely find a fan of your blog in every state and stay for free :) We have an extra few rooms in Ohio - and a swingset the trips would love!
